For the last few months, Harry and I have been building a new kind of messaging app. We believe that social media shouldn't be all about ‘friends’ and ‘followers’, but about the people around you, and the places you go. Nearly puts you in group threads based on where you are, so you can walk in and out of conversations, without having to sign up or check-in. We wanted to capture these shared social experiences, like queueing for a club or living in an apartment, with the intimacy and immediacy of a messaging app. We hope you like it, and that at some point we find ourselves in a thread together.
