I built this tool to solve a problem I was facing daily. If you use both Notion for team collaboration and Obsidian for deep personal work, you are paying a two-tool tax. You either accept the friction of copying and pasting, or you try to export your Notion data and end up with broken links, messy UUID filenames, and dead databases.
There are over 1.46 million installs of basic import tools in the Obsidian ecosystem. The demand to own your data locally is massive, but 19 different GitHub repos have attempted to bridge these two apps and nearly all of them are one-way, properties-only, or destructive. N2O Sync changes that. It provides true bidirectional content sync between Notion and Obsidian. Your databases, toggles, and callouts survive the trip.
As a developer, code security and data privacy are non-negotiable for me. I refuse to let my private data get scraped or data-mined for AI training. That is why N2O is built to operate entirely locally. Your content never touches an N2O server. Sync traffic only routes between your machine and the official Notion API. We have two versions available today:
