Hi! I'm Konlan, founder of Mythopia. Thanks for hunting us. I want to tell you why I built this. The moment it happened: A friend asked me to tell him a folktale from my childhood. Something I grew up hearing. A story my grandmother told. A story from my culture. I went completely blank. I couldn't remember a single one. I panicked. These stories were supposed to be unforgettable — encoded in me, passed down like DNA. But urbanization, school, the internet, work... somewhere along the way, I forgot them all. So I asked my other friends the same question: "Tell me a folktale you remember from childhood." They went blank too. That's when I realized we were losing everything.
