Top comment

We built MyPass LMS Community Edition around a simple idea: a free LMS shouldn't be a crippled version of a paid product. We saw schools, nonprofits, associations, startups, training providers and small businesses struggling with expensive licensing, per-user pricing and the complexity of getting an LMS up and running. So we decided to make the core LMS genuinely free. Community Edition is our OpenCore, self-hosted LMS with unlimited users and no software licensing fees. It focuses on the fundamentals organizations actually need: course and learner management, SCORM, assessments, assignments, certificates, learning paths, progress tracking, reporting, dashboards, roles and permissions and more. As we worked toward launch, the idea evolved from simply offering a free LMS to building a solid, usable core that organizations can own and control. We deliberately kept the Community Edition focused on core LMS capabilities rather than artificially limiting users or crippling essential functionality. And when organizations outgrow self-hosting, they can move to Kprise-managed hosting without replacing their LMS. Free core. Unlimited users. Your infrastructure. Your control. We would love to hear from the Product Hunt community - what's the one thing you wish your LMS did better?
