MyImgLite was inspired by a simple recurring frustration: preparing images for the web often means bouncing between separate compression, resizing, and conversion tools, then uploading files to third-party servers just to download them again. For a batch of product photos, article images, or campaign assets, that process is slow, repetitive, and not always comfortable from a privacy perspective.
We wanted to build a focused alternative: one free workspace where people can process up to 30 images directly in the browser, choose the right output format, control quality and dimensions, preview results, and export everything as a ZIP. The core principle was that images should stay on the user’s device, with no account and no upload queue required.
The approach evolved from a basic batch converter into a more complete production workflow. We added compression controls, proportional and exact resizing modes, AVIF, WebP, JPEG, and PNG export, per-image previews, retries, cancellation, and ZIP downloads. On the technical side, we moved processing into browser workers with WebAssembly encoders to keep the interface responsive during larger batches. The result is intentionally simple: fast, private image preparation for people who need dependable web-ready assets without another cloud service.
