Hi everyone! I'm excited to share MyAlly, an open-source AI mental health companion.
I noticed many people especially students silently struggling with stress and anxiety. I wanted to build a safe, non-judgmental pocket companion that is always ready to listen—acting as a true friend rather than just a clinical tool.
Initially, this was just a simple conversational AI. But I quickly realized that relying only on AI is dangerous if someone is in a real mental health crisis. So, I completely changed my approach and built a safety-first platform. I added a custom Crisis Protocol that seamlessly alerts real human counselors via web dashboard the moment it detects severe distress.
