My Morning Door
A multi-sensory calm space for your Chrome new tab
My Morning Door turns Chrome’s new tab into a multi-sensory calm space before browsing begins. It combines calm visuals from my own photography with locally bundled ambient sound, optional voice guidance and short breathing, grounding or seated-release practices. Each layer can be used on its own or skipped entirely. It is free and privacy-first by design, with no accounts, reminders, analytics or browsing-history access.
I’m Christin, the creator of My Morning Door. I made this extension because I noticed how quickly a browser tab can become another demand for attention, especially before the day has really started. Many productivity tools ask people to track more, measure more or keep up with another system. I wanted to make something quieter.
My Morning Door turns Chrome’s new tab page into a multi-sensory calm space. It uses calm visuals from my own photography, locally bundled ambient sound including rain, ocean, forest and brown noise, optional voice guidance, and short breathing, grounding or seated-release practices. Each layer can be used on its own, or skipped entirely.
It’s free and designed with privacy in mind. There are no accounts to create, no streaks to maintain, no notifications, no data tracking and no access to browsing history. The ambient sounds are part of the extension itself, so it doesn’t depend on streaming or track what you listen to.
I made it as a small contribution toward cognitively accessible design: a tool that asks less from people when attention is already limited. I’d appreciate feedback on whether the new-tab experience feels clear, useful and calm without becoming another tool to manage. Thank you for taking a look.
