Murrona

Fall asleep to a purr you can feel

Murrona turns your iPhone's Taptic Engine into slow rhythms you can feel: a cat's purr that breathes and varies like a real one, a heartbeat that can ease down over 15 minutes, a long breath (4-7-8 included), a train on the rails, ocean swells. Tap "Start and dim the screen" and the display goes fully black while the rhythm carries on. Rest the phone on your bed beside you. One-time $4.99, no subscription, no ads, no account, nothing leaves your device. iPhone only.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Michael, the maker of Murrona. I wanted to know whether a phone could do what a purring cat does on a bed: give you something slow and warm to feel, instead of something to listen to or look at. Murrona uses the Taptic Engine as an instrument. Instead of sound, you feel a slow rhythm: a purr that breathes and varies like a real one, a heartbeat that can ease down over 15 minutes, a breath (4-7-8 included), a train on the rails, ocean swells. Tap "Start and dim the screen", the display goes fully black, and the rhythm carries on. Rest the phone on the bed beside you and the mattress carries it to your body. Two honest limits: iOS only lets the app in front vibrate, so the phone stays unlocked (ideally charging), which is what Dim mode is for; and it needs an iPhone with a Taptic Engine, so no iPad. It is for comfort and relaxation, not a medical device. Pay once ($4.99), no subscription, no ads, no account, nothing leaves your device. There is a free trial: 10 minutes a day on 3 days. I'd love to hear: which rhythm should come next, and did the purr feel real to you?

Who hunted Murrona?

Murrona was hunted by Michael Scherer. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
