Motily

The daily check-in for men's fertility

Motily is a men's fertility app built around one fact: sperm take about 74 days to make, so the habits a man keeps over the next two to three months shape what a semen analysis will show. Two-minute daily check-in across eight evidence-backed habits, a score that shows where the points are, a 74-day journey, semen analysis results against the WHO 2021 reference limits, and a page for your partner. Measures nothing, diagnoses nothing, cites everything. Free during launch.

Hi everyone, I'm Bosco, the founder — and until this summer, not a developer. The thing that made me build Motily: when a couple can't conceive, the man is tested late, told to "stop smoking and drink less", and never told how long it takes for any of that to matter. The answer is about 74 days, because that's how long sperm take to make. Clinics repeat an abnormal test three months later for exactly that reason. Almost nobody tells the man. So Motily is built around that cycle. Every day you log eight habits (sleep, nutrition, alcohol and nicotine, heat, exercise, stress, hydration, timing) in about two minutes. You get a score for today and one for the long run, and a 74-day journey with the phases of sperm development so you can see why week three matters. If you've had a semen analysis, you type the numbers in and it explains each one against the WHO 2021 limits — which are the 5th centile of fertile men, not a pass mark, something the report itself never says. Your partner gets her own page with your day in the cycle and the timing, never your answers. It's not a medical device. It doesn't test anything. Every health claim has a source, and the website publishes all of it for free, including a semen analysis checker that runs in your browser. Free for everyone during launch. What I'd most value from Product Hunt: tell me what's confusing, what you don't believe, and what you'd need to see before you'd send it to a mate who's trying.

Who hunted Motily?

Motily was hunted by Bosco Foulsham. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
