I'm the creator of MortgageWise — excited (and a little nervous) to share this today.
The problem I kept running into: every mortgage calculator I tried online showed me a monthly payment that was way lower than what I'd actually pay — because they only calculate principal + interest. Property taxes, homeowners insurance, HOA fees? Left out, or hidden behind a "get your personalized quote" form that wants your email and phone number.
So I built MortgageWise to just... show the real number. A few things I focused on:
🏠 The full payment — P&I + taxes + insurance + HOA, all combined, so you're not surprised later
📊 A real amortization schedule — browse it payment by payment, or export to CSV/PDF
🔒 100% client-side — your numbers never leave your browser. No account, no email gate, no data stored on a server
💸 Actually free — no premium tier hiding the useful parts
I built this on my own, mostly in my free nights, because I genuinely wanted this tool to exist and couldn't find one that didn't either oversimplify the math or gatekeep it behind a lead form.
