Despite the plethora of tools available, nothing seemed to break free from decades-old norms, even though video as a capsule for storytelling has evolved so much. We craved a more intuitive way to edit videos. 🎥✨Moonshine is a browser-based, story-powered, video-making machine. One of the first things you’ll notice is that the timeline is vertical! This enables more intuitive text-based video interactions directly on the timeline. Right now, text helps you quickly find the relevant clips from your uploads, based on visuals, actions, and dialogue. Start a story with a phrase like “Ordering pizza with my friends” and we’ll automatically show the exact clips you're looking for. 🎬🔍 Need a shot from a different angle? Or want more footage of your friend? Just tap on a moment in your timeline, and visually similar clips from your library will be magically highlighted for you to add. And to elevate your story, transitions, text, and audio layers work exactly how you’d expect! Moonshine removes the technicality of editing and puts your storyline front and center. We believe that this storytelling-based flow can be general enough to apply to any type of video editing, starting with video search so you never have to waste time finding the moments you need.
