monthlet

The note app where AI writes the note — layout and all

Dump raw thoughts — bullets, fragments — and tell monthlet in plain language what you want. AI writes the whole note: banners, columns, tabs, real spreadsheets and live charts, layout chosen for you. Want a change? Just ask — only that part updates. Every note is a plain HTML file on your disk, opens in any browser, no lock-in. Bring your own AI key (Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini); your notes never touch our servers. Free and complete. macOS (Apple Silicon) today; Windows on the way.

Hey Product Hunt — I'm Shin, the maker of monthlet. I built monthlet because of one small, daily annoyance: I'd ask an AI to help me write something, then spend the next ten minutes copying its answer out, pasting it somewhere, and reformatting it by hand. The thinking took seconds; the busywork took the rest. monthlet removes that loop. You dump raw thoughts — bullets, fragments, whatever — and tell it in plain language what you want ("turn this into a note"). The AI writes the whole thing: banners, columns, tabs, the layout picked for you. Want a change? Just ask, and only that part updates. The name is an anagram of HTML + NOTE, and that's the whole philosophy: every note is a plain HTML file on your own disk. It opens in any browser, forever — no lock-in, no proprietary format. You bring your own AI key (Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini), it lives in your Keychain, and with your own key your notes never touch our servers. Honest note: it's macOS on Apple Silicon (M1 or later) today. Windows is on the way. The app is free and complete. I'd genuinely love your feedback — tell me what's missing. Who hunted monthlet?

monthlet was hunted by Shinichiro Kato. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
