monkeysee

Let your terminal agent drive your real, logged-in Chrome.

Other browser agents open a headless browser logged into nothing. MonkeySee drives YOUR real Chrome — already signed into everything. No LLM, no agent loop: your terminal agent is the brain, MonkeySee the hands and eyes. Read pages, click, type, fill forms cinematically, run many sessions.

Hey Product Hunt. I kept watching browser agents spin up a fresh headless Chrome logged into nothing, then burn half their effort fighting login walls to get back to where I already was. Meanwhile my terminal agent (Claude Code, Codex) was right there, full of context, with no way to touch the browser I was already signed into. So I flipped it. MonkeySee brings no browser and no brain. It drives YOUR real Chrome, already logged into everything. Your terminal agent is the brain, MonkeySee is the hands and eyes. The surprise: the hard part wasn't acting, it was seeing. Getting a page down to a compact, indexed list the agent could reason about cheaply mattered more than any clever clicking. It's free and MIT. Would love feedback on where it breaks.

Who hunted monkeysee?

monkeysee was hunted by Julio Cesar Ody. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
