Mockvid
Turn any URL into an animated 3D showcase video
Mockvid automatically captures the live scrolling of a website and then synchronizes it across a computer and a phone in a custom 3D animated scene. Export to MP4 in up to 4K, or as GIF, WebP, PNG, transparent video. Designed for freelancers, web designers, studios, and agencies looking to present a polished before-and-after comparison or enhance their portfolio, as well as for creators who need a launch video (Product Hunt, social media, landing). No capture tool or editing software required.
I'm Mickaël. I build websites for a living, and one thing always bugged me: we spend weeks shipping a site, then present it with a flat screenshot.
Making a proper showcase video means opening a screen recorder, cropping, keyframing in After Effects, then doing the whole thing again for mobile. Most of us just don't bother.
So I built Mockvid. You paste a URL. It records the live site on desktop and mobile, then stages both inside an animated 3D device scene: cinematic camera moves, 9:16 through 16:9, exported as MP4, GIF, WebP or transparent video up to 4K. No account, nothing to upload or edit.
It's for anyone who ships sites: independent designers, studios, founders who need a launch clip and don't want to open a video editor.
How it's priced: - Free: paste a URL, get a watermarked 720p MP4. No signup. - $9 once: removes the watermark and unlocks HD for that domain, forever. - Studio, $39/year: covers every site you ship, plus extra features.
Studio's $39 is a launch price: it goes up to $49 on October 27. Buy during launch week and your price stays locked while your subscription is active.
I've been building it solo for the past few months. Tell me what feels missing or doesn't work as expected.
