The idea for MockFriend came from a simple observation: recruiters spend countless hours conducting first-round interviews, while candidates often struggle with interview anxiety and lack realistic practice opportunities.
We started by building an AI mock interview platform for job seekers. As we spoke with recruiters, hiring managers, and founders, we realized the same technology could also help companies automate initial candidate screening and generate structured scorecards before a human interview even begins.
Over the past months, we've gone through multiple iterations—testing different interview formats, improving AI feedback quality, refining scoring systems, and focusing on creating an experience that feels natural rather than robotic.
