Mochi
An animated Claude Code companion with safety & insights
Mochi is an open-source companion for Claude Code that adds personality and real utility to your workflow. It reacts to what Claude is doing, tracks usage and context, monitors multiple sessions, warns about risky commands, and celebrates progress with moods, accessories, and achievements. Built for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Hey everyone! I’m the maker of Mochi.
I built Mochi because I spend a lot of time in Claude Code and wanted something that felt more alive, while also being genuinely useful. What started as a tiny animated companion gradually evolved into a real developer tool.
Mochi reacts to what Claude is doing, tracks usage and context, monitors multiple sessions, warns before risky commands, and adds a playful layer with moods, accessories, and achievements. My goal was to make coding with Claude feel more visible, more personal, and a bit more fun — without adding a bloated dashboard or another subscription.
It’s free, open source, and I’d really love your feedback. Especially on what feels most useful, what feels unnecessary, and what you’d want next. Thanks for checking it out 🧡

Mochi was hunted by Emre Öztürk. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
