MixScout

Stop scrolling Instagram for mixing clients

MixScout helps mix engineers and producers find independent artists worth reaching out to — before everyone else does. Search by genre and momentum, get a 0–100 score built from real streaming data, then track the whole client pipeline in one place. Built by a working mix engineer who was sick of finding clients by scrolling Instagram.

Hey Product Hunt 👋

I'm Pablo — I've played guitar in punk bands for over 30 years, and about 6 years ago I went to audio school to learn mixing and mastering. I run Sonic Rebel Studio out of Buenos Aires, and in 2023 I mixed and mastered my own band's album there, start to finish.

That record is what convinced me to take mixing seriously as a business. What I wasn't ready for was how much time I'd lose just finding artists to work with — hours scrolling Spotify's related-artists tab and Instagram, DMing people with basically no idea if they were even a fit, tracking everything in a Notes app that stopped working around client #6.

There's a huge amount of tooling for making music. There's almost nothing for running the business side of a mixing/mastering studio. So I built MixScout:

→ Search independent artists by genre, audience size, growth trend, career stage, and location
→ Every result gets a 0–100 Business Potential Score, computed from real streaming data — not a guess
→ Fresh Prospects: unsigned artists with a release in the last 60 days, the ones most likely to need a mixer right now
→ A CRM built for a one-person studio: save artists, take notes, track outreach, get follow-up reminders

7-day free trial, no card required: mixscout.pro

I'm a mix engineer first and a developer second, so I built this to solve my own problem — not because I saw a market gap on a spreadsheet. I'll be here all day answering anything: the tech, the mixing side, the punk-band side, all of it. Tell me what's broken, what's missing, or what you'd actually pay for.

Who hunted MixScout?

MixScout was hunted by Pablo Resnizky. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
