Minilytics

Self-hosted analytics. No cookies, no Node, just PHP

Modern analytics tools look great, but are heavy to run: a Node runtime, Docker, a Postgres or ClickHouse server. Minilytics is open-source and runs on plain PHP and SQLite, so you can drop it on any shared host in 1min. You still get everything from a regular analytics site ! Dashboard, sessions, referrers, custom events, conversion funnels and Umami import, all cookie-free. And with the built-in MCP server, Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can answer questions about your traffic in plain words.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Axel, I built Minilytics because I wanted analytics for my own side projects without sending visitor data to a third party, and without running a Node app plus a database server just to count pageviews. Minilytics runs anywhere PHP runs. You get sessions, custom events and conversion funnels, with a strict mode that sets no client-side storage at all. If you’re coming from Umami, you can import your history in a few clicks (GA4, Plausible and Matomo are next). As we live in modern times, Minilytics also comes with a built-in MCP server. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and just ask “where did last week’s visitors come from?”. Assistants get read-only access, so they can’t change anything. There’s a live demo on the site, and it’s all on GitHub. I’d love your feedback, especially on what you’d want to see next!
