Whether you're just starting out, walking to the shops or an experienced runner, every mile adds to the community total. Record on your phone or watch, or bring in walks and runs from Apple Health. Start a team with friends, take on challenges, cheer each other on and collect badges along the way. No leaderboards, no ads, no subscription. Every mile counts.

Hi everyone, I'm Gav, and I built Million Miles. It started with a challenge I set myself: could I get enough people together to walk and run a million miles between us? Anyone can join in, and every mile goes into one shared total, whether it's a walk to the shops or a Sunday long run. Most fitness apps rank you against other people. I wanted to build something positive and collaborative, where nobody is ranked, and the only number that matters is the one we're building together. You cheer people on, and the milestones belong to everyone. It's free, and it'll stay free. There are no ads and no subscription, and nothing in the app tracks you. It's a personal project and I cover the costs. What you can do: • Record walks and runs on your iPhone or Apple Watch, with your route, pace, splits, heart rate zones and elevation • Bring in walks and runs from Apple Health, so miles from Garmin, Strava and other apps count too • Start a team with friends, family or your running club, with its own chat • Join challenges where everyone works towards one target • Cheer people on, and collect badges along the way • Use miles or kilometres, whichever you prefer We're right at the start, so if you join now you'll be one of the first. If you try it, I'd love to hear what you think, good or bad. If you're on Android: it's definitely on my list. For now I'm keeping things lean, building on the iPhone and Apple Watch I have and making something I love using myself. There's a waiting list at millionmiles.app, and the more people join it, the sooner Android happens.

Who hunted Million Miles?
Million Miles was hunted by Gavan Grenville Hunt. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
