I built MetWipe around a simple problem: files often contain more information than we realize. A photo can contain location and camera data. A Word document can contain author or company information. An audio file can contain hidden tags. I wanted a simple way to inspect that information, remove what isn't needed, and verify the result before sharing a file — without requiring users to install software or send their files to an application server. That became MetWipe. The project is still evolving, and I'd especially appreciate feedback on which file formats and metadata checks would be most useful to add next.
