Mess Monsters: Family Chores
Routine Chart & Quests/Rewards
A parent-led iPhone app for kids routines, chores, bedtime, rewards, Camera Rescue, and quiet time.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m Dmytro, developer behind Mess Monsters.
I built it around a very simple problem: kids often don’t know how to approach a big task like “clean your room”, while parents end up repeating the same instructions over and over.
Mess Monsters turns that into a small real-world quest.
A parent chooses a routine or takes a photo of the mess, breaks it into simple steps, and guides the child through them one by one. The child helps a sad monster feel better as the task gets done — while the parent stays in control of the phone.
I intentionally didn’t want to build another app that asks parents to hand a screen to their child for 30 minutes. The goal is the opposite: use the phone briefly to help something happen in the real world.
I’m still actively shaping the product, so I’d especially love feedback from parents here:
What’s the hardest recurring routine in your home right now — cleanup, bedtime, mornings, brushing teeth, something else?
I’ll be here all day answering questions. Thanks for checking it out
