I'm Sufian, an indie React Native dev, and Merge 5 is my take on the game I could never put down — 2048.
The thing that always bugged me was the cramped 4×4 grid: one bad move and you're boxed in. So I rebuilt it around a bigger 5×5 board — more room to plan, longer runs, bigger combos — then added a 4×4 Classic and a brutal 6×6 Hard mode (goal: 8192) for the extremes.
A few things I'm proud of:
- A Daily Challenge that hands everyone the same board — and rotates the grid size day to day, so it never gets stale
- Cloud save + Play Games leaderboards and 23 achievements
- 4 free themes (Galaxy's my favorite)
- Fully playable offline — no account, no paywall
