Mercies is a Christian devotional app for iPhone, built around a simple morning rhythm: one verse, one prayer, five quiet minutes.
Each day you get one scripture-backed affirmation, then a short three-step devotional: a morning prayer, one reflection question, and a closing.
A few things I cared about while building it:
• Real scripture on every card. All 365 affirmations show the full verse (based on the public-domain World English Bible), not just the reference.
• Private by default. No account, and your journal stays on your device.
• No ads, ever.
• Free Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, so today's verse is there every time you pick up your phone.
You can also search a topic like fear, hope or healing for verses and a prayer, follow multi-day devotional plans, and keep a list of prayer requests you can mark as answered.
Mercies is free on iPhone, with an optional Pro upgrade for more affirmations, plans and journal tools.
