Recently I audited a wings place near Atlanta and found 29 of its 59 DoorDash items had no photo at all. Not because the owner did not care. A food photographer runs $100 to $200 a dish, and every app wants a different shape: DoorDash 16:9, Grubhub square, Instagram tall. So one afternoon of shooting becomes an evening of cropping, and it quietly never happens.
