Turn your browsers toolbar into an animated usage monitor
MemoryPet puts a tiny animated pet in your Chrome toolbar that speeds up or slows down based on your system's memory or CPU usage, a glanceable, oddly satisfying read on how hard your machine is working. 2.0 adds CPU tracking alongside memory, 8 new pets, a hover-able usage graph, and a way to turn the animation off entirely and just watch a live percentage badge instead.
Hey Hunters 👋
Veit here, maker of MemoryPet. A lot has changed since the first launch, so I wanted to bring it back for round two.
The biggest addition is CPU tracking! Until now MemoryPet only watched memory, but a bunch of you asked for CPU too, so your pet's speed can now reflect either. I also added 8 new pets, a hover tooltip on the usage graph so you can see exact numbers instead of just eyeballing the trend, aaand, for the people who found the constant motion distracting, a toggle to turn the animation off and just watch a plain percentage badge instead.
It's still free, still just a fun little system monitor, still doesn't phone home anywhere. Would love to hear what pet you land on, and what you'd want to see next :)
