Hey Product Hunt 👋
I first launched Melody Genie here when it was basically an AI songwriter.
A lot has changed since then.
The problem I kept running into with AI music was that every session felt like starting from zero again.
You write in one tool, generate music somewhere else, keep rewriting prompts, and the software never really develops any understanding of how you create.
So Melody Genie gradually became something very different.
The biggest thing we've been building is Personal DNA.
Every user has their own creative DNA that can evolve as they create. You can also configure it yourself, so it isn't just an invisible recommendation system deciding what you should sound like.
The goal is simple:
Your creative tool should know you better after your 50th song than it did after your first.
We've also separated Writing DNA from Music DNA.
That means the direction that shapes your vocabulary, rhyme, cadence, hooks and phrasing doesn't have to be the same direction that shapes the vocals and production of the finished song.
And Melody Genie now goes far beyond songwriting.
You can start from an idea, existing lyrics, a beat, a hum/freestyle or an image, develop the song, choose between four music models, generate the complete track, use your own authorized voice or beat, edit individual sections, extend or restyle the result, separate stems and analyze the song inside Virality Lab.
The idea is not to build another prompt → song generator.
We're trying to build a music workspace that remembers your creative direction and becomes more useful the more you create with it.
There's still a huge amount we want to improve, which is why I'm bringing Melody Genie back to Product Hunt now.
