Why we built MeetNotes?
Great conversations deserve to be remembered. Not just recorded.
We noticed something frustrating. Meetings were becoming smarter, but the way we captured them wasn't.
There were plenty of AI meeting assistants, but most were designed primarily for scheduled online meetings. Real conversations happen everywhere, across conference tables, in classrooms, during client visits, over phone calls, and in different languages.
And even when meetings were recorded, important context often got lost. Who said what? What was actually decided? Who committed to doing what?
We wanted to solve a simple problem: Nobody should have to choose between being fully present in a conversation and remembering every important detail.
How our approach evolved?
Initially, we focused on making transcription and meeting summaries more accurate. But as we built and tested MeetNotes, we realized that a transcript alone wasn't enough.
A useful meeting assistant needed to understand the conversation, not just convert speech into text.
That shaped our priorities:
Online and offline meetings: Because important conversations don't happen only on Zoom, Google Meet or Teams.
Multilingual understanding: Because real people switch languages naturally, often in the middle of a sentence.
Speaker recognition: Because knowing who said something is often as important as knowing what was said.
Actionable outputs: Because decisions, action items and follow-ups matter more than pages of transcripts.
Simplicity: Because good technology should remove work, not create another workflow to manage.
We also wanted to make meeting intelligence accessible without requiring expensive recording hardware or complicated setup.
What happened after launch surprised us
In our first 15 days, MeetNotes processed 10,500+ minutes of conversations across 55 countries and 34 languages — with paying customers already onboard.
That early adoption reinforced something we believed from the beginning: the need for reliable meeting notes is universal, but the way people communicate is incredibly diverse.
Where we're going?
Our vision is to make MeetNotes more than a transcription tool.
We want it to become a reliable memory for conversations — one that preserves context, captures commitments and helps people turn discussions into action.
We're still early, learning from users and improving constantly.
We'd love the Product Hunt community to try MeetNotes, challenge it with real-world conversations, and tell us what we should build next.
