MeetingSidekick
Meeting notes with no bot on the attendee list
Press Start in your browser and MeetingSidekick transcribes the meeting, in person or on any call, then gives you a summary, action items, and a chatbot for that meeting. Nothing joins the call. Free plan: 2 hours a month, no card.
Hi PH. I built MeetingSidekick for myself, and I still use it every week.
The thing I could not get past with the tools I tried: to get notes, a bot has to join the call. It shows up on the attendee list, the host has to let it in, and half my meetings are two people at a table with no call to join at all.
So this one never joins anything. You open a browser tab, press Start, and share the tab or the screen so it can hear the call audio. On a phone it just listens to the room. Zoom, Teams, Webex, a conference room, a coffee shop. If you can hear it, it transcribes it. Nothing installs and nobody else in the meeting sees a new participant.
After the meeting you get a summary with decisions and action items, and a chatbot scoped to that one transcript, so you can ask "what did we agree about the deadline" instead of scrolling. Meetings stay in your account and stay searchable.
Free plan is 2 hours a month with no card. Pro is $15/mo or $120/yr for 60 hours. There is also a 5-minute trial that needs no signup at all, if you just want to see what the transcript looks like.
Two honest limits. The desktop system-audio capture needs Chrome or Edge. And recording people can require their consent depending on where you are, so the app makes you acknowledge that before it will start.
Happy to answer anything, including how the no-bot capture actually works.

Who hunted MeetingSidekick?
MeetingSidekick was hunted by James Kang. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
