Meetant
Local Granola alternative for people living in Claude/Codex
Meetant records your calls and saves a clean transcript into a local folder on your computer. Nothing leaves your machine. Then one prompt turns that folder into meeting memory your agent can actually search. - Granola made bot-free meeting notes feel obvious - Meetant takes that workflow to the files - The app records and transcribes meetings into local folders - A scheduled Claude or Codex prompt turns new transcripts into final notes - Your agent project becomes searchable meeting memory
Hey Product Hunt,
I built Meetant because I wanted the useful part of AI meeting notes without adopting another notes silo.
Granola proved that meeting notes are better when there is no bot awkwardly joining the call. But if you already live in Claude or Codex, the next step feels obvious: your meetings should become files your agent can work with.
Meetant does one job:
1. Record the meeting from your desktop
2. Transcribe it into a local meeting folder
3. Leave behind simple files: recording, transcript, rough notes, final notes
Then you create a scheduled Claude or Codex automation with a prompt. It reviews new meeting folders, reads the transcript and rough notes, writes `final-notes.md`, and renames the folder with a useful meeting title.
That gives you searchable meeting memory inside the agent project you already use. Ask things like:
“What did we promise this customer last month?”
“What decisions came out of our last three team syncs?”
“Which follow-ups are still open?”
Meetant is intentionally small. It is not trying to be your AI note app, CRM, project manager, or knowledge base. It is the capture layer: recording, transcription, local files, and a workflow your agent can automate.
Launch price is $2.99 one-time. No subscription.
I would love feedback on:
- The file-first workflow
- The automation prompt
- Whether this is clearer than packaging Claude/Codex-specific add-ons
- What other meeting folder files agents should get
Thanks for checking it out.
