Medusa is an open source, password-based file encryption tool with lossless decryption that allows users to upload a file and encrypt it using a password. The encryptedmedusa file can be saved on the device or shared and decrypted only with the password used to encrypt the file. After the decryption, the original file is intact, just like the way it was before encryption.
I have been looking into low-level stuff for a while now and I decided to build something around files because they interest me a lot.
I am familiar with file protection, especially with pdf files that are password-protected. i thought to try this out with other file formats.
I am using XOR encryption for Medusa v1, I will be switching to more advanced techniques in subsequent versions.
