MediaPilot
Auto-import watch folders for Adobe Premiere Pro
MediaPilot is a Premiere Pro panel that watches your project's media folders and keeps the Project panel in sync. Drop a file and it lands in the matching bin within seconds. It waits for copies to finish, mirrors nested folders at any depth, follows renamed or moved folders without duplicates, and sends clips of deleted files to a safe "Deleted" bin so sequences keep their structure. Windows & macOS, runs 100% locally.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Vadym, the maker of MediaPilot.
Every Premiere project starts the same way: new footage lands on disk, you open the Media Browser, import it, then rebuild the same folder structure as bins by hand. Then a folder gets renamed, a file gets deleted, and the project slowly drifts away from what's actually on disk.
MediaPilot is a small Premiere Pro panel that fixes that. Press Sync once and it:
- imports new files into the matching bin within seconds
- waits until card offloads have finished copying (no half-copied clips)
- mirrors nested folders at any depth
- follows renamed or moved folders instead of importing everything again
- sends clips of deleted files to a single "Deleted" bin, so your sequences keep their structure
- finds orphaned bins and removes them only after you confirm
It runs 100% locally on Windows and macOS. One license works on up to 3 computers.
I'd love your feedback, especially from working editors: what's the most annoying part of media management in your workflow? That's what I want to tackle next.
