MediaForge Organizer
Rename & organize TV, anime, and movies - done right
MediaForge Organizer renames and organizes TV, anime, and movie files into a clean folder structure. Automatic mode chains TMDB, AniList, MyAnimeList, and TVMaze, but rejects low-confidence matches instead of picking the wrong show. Handles standalone season markers, absolute anime episode numbering, and region disambiguators correctly. Free, open source, works fully offline.
Hey PH! 👋
I built MediaForge Organizer because every media renamer I tried either got confused by anime season numbering, mismatched shows entirely, or cost money for something that should just work offline.
What it does differently:
- Confidence-gated matching - in Automatic mode, it won't accept a wrong show just because it was the first search result. If nothing looks right, it falls back to honest offline parsing instead of guessing.
- Real season/episode detection - handles S01E01, 1x01, standalone season markers (S2, 2nd Season), and even absolute episode numbering for long-running anime, using the show's real per-season episode counts.
- Shows you the result before touching anything - new filename + destination folder, side by side, before you commit.
Free, open source, works fully offline (TMDB/AniList/MAL/TVMaze are optional). Windows exe or run from source.
Would love feedback, especially on edge-case filenames that trip it up - that's exactly the kind of bug report that makes this better.
