I'm a systematic trader. Here's the problem I kept running into: I could write a solid strategy, backtest it for years, prove it had a real edge — and still deviate from it live, under pressure. A trading journal only tells you what happened. It doesn't tell you whether you actually followed your own rules.
So I built MechanicalEdge to answer that question directly, trade by trade: compliant or deviation, never an in-between. It also tracks early exits (profit left on the table vs. panic-exiting before your stop), and includes a "circuit breaker" that reacts to losing streaks with context instead of blind panic — was this normal variance, or did you actually break your own rules?
Building this in public, mostly for other systematic traders who've felt this exact gap between plan and execution. Would genuinely love your feedback — what would make this more useful for how you track your own discipline?
