Hi Product Hunt!
I’m the independent developer behind AVA INDUSTRIES, and I built MASCHINE because I wanted the iPad to become a real working environment—not merely a companion screen.
MASCHINE brings project organization, documentation, files, code and connected systems together in dedicated workspaces. Developers can begin projects directly on the iPad, use the integrated editor and connect a Mac Agent to build and run Apple projects.
With the new System Administration workspace, MASCHINE can also connect to Linux and Windows machines. From the iPad, users can inspect system health, work with files and terminals, manage services, processes, users, networks, packages and containers, and create monochrome system reports.
The supporting Mac Agent, Linux Agent and Windows Companion are separate components, but MASCHINE remains the central interface. Connections can run directly on the local network or through the encrypted MASCHINE Relay.
Version 1.4 is the largest step MASCHINE has taken so far, but this launch represents the complete product and the broader idea behind it: one structured workspace for building projects and managing the systems they depend on.
