Meet Marv, your cursor’s new plus-one. Hold a hotkey and ask about anything on your screen. Marv answers out loud while drawing arrows, circling buttons and writing notes directly on your screen to walk you through it. Debug some code, work out a spreadsheet formula or find the right control in your video editor, all without leaving the app you’re using.
Hey, I’m Cameron. I’ve been building Marv for Windows.
The idea came from a pretty simple frustration: you’re looking at an app, you know what you want to do, but you have no idea which button or setting gets you there.
Marv sits beside your cursor. Hold a hotkey and ask about what’s on your screen. It answers out loud and can circle things, point at buttons and draw over the screen while it explains.
A couple of examples: finding the right export option, working out a spreadsheet formula, or getting through a task in software you don’t know very well.
I’ve also put a lot into the character. I wanted Marv to feel like a little companion you’d actually want on your desktop.
