It is a barebones simple text and markdown editor, support LaTeX formulas (via KaTeX) and Mermaid diagrams. Lightweight and free. You dont have to fire up your IDE of choice, or VSCode will all 200 extensions etc to edit a single file, and notepad or vim are... not suitable for markdown. So, just use the simple tool that is intended for it. No AI, no MCP servers, nothing, just a simple editor.
