I built MarginDeck because I could see my total monthly spend, but I still couldn't answer a more useful question: which product is actually carrying those costs?
When you run several products, AI tools, hosting, domains, developer accounts, design software, and marketing tools are often shared. Revenue is visible, but product-level contribution gets blurry.
MarginDeck gives me one local Mac workflow to:
• record products, revenue, and scheduled costs
• split shared costs across products with a monthly allocation history
• compare estimated contribution profit and trends
• understand portfolio burn and runway
• review upcoming scheduled costs for the next 30 days and 12 months
• catch future costs still allocated to stopped or archived products
• review read-only RevenueCat or Stripe revenue before applying it
I kept the scope intentionally smaller than accounting software. MarginDeck doesn't calculate taxes or claim to know “true profit.” It helps product builders organize the numbers they already have and make their own monthly decisions.
