Manticore Finance is a desktop app (Windows for now, macOS planned) that puts everything you own in one place: stocks, ETFs, crypto, bonds, physical gold, property, and the debt you hold against it. And! It turns it into a single, live net-worth picture. I got tired of portfolio trackers that made me create an account, hand over my brokerage logins, and keep my entire financial life on someone else's servers… and usually behind a monthly subscription. So I built the opposite. Two things that, in my opinion, make it different: It's private by design. There’s no account, no cloud, no telemetry. Your portfolio lives only on your machine. The only thing it sends over the network is anonymous requests for public market prices (such as Yahoo Finance, CoinGecko or ECB rates). Basically nothing about what you actually own ever leaves your computer. Even the licence is verified offline, so activation doesn't phone home either. It goes deep on analysis, not just tracking. It unwraps what your ETFs really hold (fund look-through), shows how much fees cost you compounded over decades, projects your net worth 30 years out, and models tax and inheritance across 35 countries. It's multi-currency and available in six languages, built also with a European investor in mind, which is the tax logic most US-built tools skip! It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription. I didn't want to charge people rent to see their own numbers. Who it's for is also very simple: people who take their finances seriously, want one honest place to see the whole picture, and would rather their data never left their own machine.
