I actually started out building something different: an "AI basics" course — because for a lot of the SMBs I work with, AI still felt abstract: plenty of interest, but no clear, practical starting point. But the more I listened to customers — especially in restaurants, retail and hospitality — a bigger, more concrete problem became obvious: turnover is brutal, so they re-train their floor over and over, pulling their best person off the job to teach the same things every time.
So I built manabiQ: upload a manual, SOP or safety sheet, and AI turns it into a 5-minute, quiz-based course a new hire finishes on their phone — before their first shift. It works in English or Spanish (big for bilingual hourly teams), and managers can see who actually passed.
The thing I obsessed over was trust. AI that invents facts is worse than no training, so every course is checked against your original document — an "AI Confidence Report" flags anything invented or missing — and a human approves it before it goes live.
