Maktaby
Windows desktop organizer Boxes, Widgets & Live Wallpaper
Maktaby is a Windows desktop organizer that helps you group and manage desktop shortcuts, files and folders in customizable boxes. Keep your desktop tidy, access your items easily, and make your workspace your own. Also you can create widgets and show a live wallpaper (GIF, Video or web html)
Hi everyone! 👋
I built Maktaby because I wanted a better way to organize my Windows desktop into boxes and keep everything tidy and accessible.
I wanted it to be lightweight and use minimal system resources. Maktaby also supports custom desktop widgets built directly with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as live wallpapers to personalize your desktop.
A little about the name: **Maktaby (مكتبي)** is Arabic for “my desk” or “my office,” and in this context, it represents *my desktop* — a personal space you can organize and customize your way. 😊
Maktaby is open source, and I'd love to hear your feedback, suggestions, and ideas for improvement!
Thanks for checking it out!
