Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built makesPDF because generating PDFs programmatically is still weirdly painful. Most tools either spin up a headless browser (slow, heavy, fragile) or hand you a low-level drawing API where you're positioning text by coordinates. And almost none of them produce PDFs that are actually accessible. makesPDF is a PDF API built for developers and AI agents: - 📝 Markdown → PDF in one call. Tables, code blocks with syntax highlighting, Mermaid diagrams, footnotes, GitHub-style theming — all fast, no browser. - 🎨 A compact template DSL for invoices, receipts, quotes, reports — render with your data via a single POST. ~75–95% fewer tokens than raw JSON, so it's cheap for LLMs to author. - ♿ Accessible by default. Every PDF comes out PDF/A-2A + PDF/UA-1 dual-compliant — proper tags, structure tree, alt text. There's even an /enhance endpoint that takes an existing non-compliant PDF and remediates it. - 🤖 Agent-native. There's a shareable skill file, an LLM-friendly API, and even pay-per-render via crypto wallets (x402) so an autonomous agent can generate a PDF without a signup flow. No headless Chrome. No fonts-don't-embed surprises. No "wait, is this even screen-reader readable?" It's live and I'd genuinely love your feedback — what would make this a no-brainer for your stack?
