Every Shopify competitor research tool I tried shows "estimated revenue" figures that are basically made up, inventory polling dressed up as insight. MakerPeek only shows what it can actually prove. Product count, bestsellers, app stack, pricing distribution, and more. Every number has a source link so you can verify it yourself. No fabricated numbers, no guesswork. My goal is to make sure that MakerPeek provides info that's actually helpful, all in one place, all verified.
I built MakerPeek because I was fed up with other competitor research tools and I needed something I could actually believe. The one thing I kept in mind while building was: "if I can't verify it, I won't include it in the extension". I want to put everything I am looking for while doing competitor research in one place that's easy to read and keep tabs on. Would love feedback from anyone who does competitor research regularly.
