Makereels
Drop a video. Get viral-ready clips. Your unfair advantage.
Editing short form is a treadmill. There is a learning curve, trends keep shifting, and the same repetitive work shows up every day. Current AI tools just cut and crop. The better ones find “viral moments.” But clipping is not what cracks the algorithm. Pattern is. Makereels builds that pattern into every clip with AI. Hooks, captions, overlays, sound effects, and reframing for portrait or landscape & tons of other things. In One tap. Ready to post.
Hey PH 👋
I built Makereels because I was living the problem myself.
In the early days, consistency was the hardest part. Not ideas. Not motivation. Just keeping up. You are juggling everything. Researching, scripting, recording, editing, posting, trying to stay relevant. And short form looks easy until you try doing it every day.
First there is the learning curve. Then trends keep shifting. And even when you figure it out, you are stuck doing the same repetitive edits again and again.
I tried AI tools too. They help, but most just cut and crop. Some find highlights. It saves time, but you are still doing the real work yourself.
That is when it clicked for me. Clipping is not what cracks the algorithm. Pattern is.
The hook, pacing, captions, small visual cues. There is a repeatable structure behind clips that perform.
So I built Makereels around that.
Instead of just editing, it uses AI to build that pattern into every clip automatically. Drop any video. Landscape, portrait, YouTube link, podcast, Zoom recording. One tap, fully edited clips, ready to post.
Would love your honest feedback cause for me hardest part wasnt the editing but showing up every day.
Do the clips feel ready to post as is?
What would make this something you use every day?
I will be around replying to everyone 🙏

Makereels was hunted by Akshar. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
