MakeItSlides - Turn PDF to Google Slides
Convert PDF to Google Slides. Fast. Free.
MakeItSlides is a Google Chrome extension that turns PDFs into editable Google Slides, not flat screenshots. It rebuilds text as native text boxes, preserves layout, images, shapes, and tables, and creates the deck right in your Google account so you can edit, restyle, and present without rebuilding from scratch. It's fast and free. Only you have access to your files - your PDF's are stored locally in your browser, ready slides - in your Google Slides account. We don't have access to your data.
Hi guys! I've built this PDF to Google Slides converter simply because I haven't found any ready to use tool on the market. There are plenty of options to convert your PDFs first to PPT and only then to Google Slides. But none if you want to make it directly. Also a lot of those converters simply don't work as expected. I wanted a tool that would keep all the text, images, icons and tables editable.
So I've started a journey to build it and hopefully to make it useful for others.
It should be especially useful for reports, proposals, study materials, and old slide decks that only exist as PDFs. I personally make presentations for my IT work, and also for academic research, so I see that it should be useful in these fields for sure.
This is the launch of the MVP and the first 1.0.0 version and it still has a lot of ways it could be improved. However I want to get the first users and their feedback before moving forward. My ideal users would be people who need this conversion on a daily and weekly basis. If you happen to know someone that might benefit from this tool - please let them know and share.
Thank you.
