Makeable
Production capacity & recipe costing for craft makers
Makeable is production capacity and inventory software for bakeries, caterers, candle and soap makers. Turn materials and recipes into how many units you can make, what is short, and what to buy next.
I built Makeable after watching craft producers (artisan bakers, candle pourers, and soap makers) struggle with the same painful operational dilemma:
They spend hours weighing ingredients down to the tenth of a gram, but run their entire production planning on fragile spreadsheets. When a large wholesale inquiry or custom order arrives, they have to manually calculate whether they have enough wax, fragrance, flour, or packaging boxes before saying yes. Traditional ERPs are built for massive factories with steep monthly fees, while generic inventory apps only track historical sales rather than forward-looking batch capacity.
Makeable bridges that gap: 1. Live Batch Feasibility: Connect your recipe cards directly to pantry inventory so you instantly know how many units you can make right now. 2. True Unit Margins: Factor in packaging, labels, scrap rates, and moisture shrinkage so your margin calculations reflect reality. 3. Smart Import: Take a photo of a handwritten recipe card or drop in an ingredient invoice to generate formulas automatically. 4. Channel Integration: Connect your Shopify, Square, or WooCommerce store to reconcile stock as orders flow in.
You can test your own recipes completely free at usemakeable.com without entering a credit card.
I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and suggestions on what tools would help physical makers streamline their inventory operations even further.
Best regards,
Lyannard Founder, Makeable
