Maintrace
Verified habits. Honest money.
Habit trackers and budgeting apps have always lived apart, and both rely on you being honest with yourself. Maintrace connects them: habits can link to your spending and verify themselves, so a "no-spend day" can't be faked. Instead of journaling, you rate each expense in one tap — necessary, could reduce, regret — and see if the month was worth it. And unlike most finance apps, Maintrace is shared from day one, with one net worth for everyone you invite.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Judi, a solo developer, and I built Maintrace because every finance app treats money in isolation, and every habit tracker just takes your word for it. The idea clicked when I realized my own "no-spend day" streak was a lie — I'd tap "done" and then order food an hour later. So Maintrace checks. You can link a habit like "no spending" or "food delivery under $10" directly to your transactions, and it verifies itself. If you say you did it but your transactions disagree, it tells you honestly instead of quietly padding your streak. The second piece is Reflection. Instead of journaling, you rate each expense in one tap necessary, could reduce, or regret it and at the end of the month you get an honest picture: how much of your spending was actually worth it, which categories generated the most regret, and whether you're moving toward your goals. Free plan is fully usable habits, budgets, goals, and reflection with reasonable limits. Pro removes the limits. Would love your feedback, especially on the verified-habits idea — it's the part I'm most curious whether people find useful. 🙂
