Buy the front page for $1 — link, text, image or video
The top spot isn't a listing — it's the whole page. Whatever the holder puts up (a link, a sentence, an image, a video) is what every visitor sees. Anyone can take it, or any position below it, by paying one dollar more than whoever is holding it.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Every "top 10 tools" list is influenced by money and pretends it isn't —
sponsored rows buried in a disclosure, "editorial picks" that happen to be
partners. I wanted to build the version that says it out loud.
There's no algorithm and no voting here. The highest bid is #1. Anyone can
take any position by paying one dollar more than whoever is sitting in it.
The part I actually care about: the top spot isn't a row in a list, it's the
entire page. Whatever the holder puts up — a link, a sentence, an image, a
video — is what everyone sees when they land, until someone outbids them.
Losing it means being visibly removed from the front page, not sliding down
a row. There's also a wall of ten permanent slots that can never be outbid
by anyone, ever, and a way to open your own board for $10 and start at the
top of it.
It launched empty, so right now the front page costs $1. Somebody is going
to get the cheapest first place on the internet.
I'd rather have the criticism than the upvote — if you think this is an ad
slot with extra steps, say so and I'll argue about it below.
