mailexodus

Open-source tool to migrate off any email platform

Free, open-source skill, CLI, and MCP server for email platform migrations. It maps source exports to destination imports and flags the manual-review gaps — the segments and flows that don't translate cleanly — before your agent starts writing. The point is simple: your list and your flows are yours. Leaving should never be the thing that keeps you stuck.

hey PH 👋 last year i sat down to finally leave my email provider. opened the export, got a pile of CSVs that didn't line up, looked at rebuilding every segment and flow by hand, and closed the laptop. kept paying for another eight months. that's the actual lock-in. not the contract - the dread of the move. so i built mailexodus. it's open-source and free. instead of clicking through an import wizard you point an agent at it: it maps your export, flags the segments and flows that won't translate cleanly, and hands the agent a checklist so it does the migration instead of guessing. flows were the hard part - every platform models triggers differently, so normalizing one automation is a pile of edge cases. still rough in spots. if you've migrated off klaviyo/mailchimp/customer.io and hit something ugly, tell me what broke. that's what i want to harden next.
