Mailamber
Private email for Windows & Android, with read receipts
Mailamber is a local-first email client for Windows and Android. Your messages, attachments and passwords stay on your devices: it connects straight to your provider over TLS, with no server in the middle. Read receipts ✓✓ like in a chat, trackers and remote images blocked before rendering, free AI priority sorting, an HTML editor with AI templates, Italian PEC, one account across PC and phone, 6 languages. Free forever plan, no ads, no data selling.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Antonio, the solo developer behind Mailamber.
Why I built it: most "modern" email apps route your inbox through their own servers to process it. I wanted the opposite: a premium email client where your messages, attachments and passwords never leave your devices. Mailamber connects straight to your provider over TLS (IMAP/SMTP or Sign in with Microsoft) and stores everything in a local database on your PC or phone. Our servers only know your account, plan and devices, never your mail.
What makes it different:
• Read receipts ✓✓, like in a chat. Turn tracking on per message: delivered, opened, a notification at the first open and a reminder if nobody replies.
• Local-first privacy. Trackers and remote images blocked before rendering, attachments checked before you open them, no ads, no data selling.
• Free AI, premium AI when you want it. AI priority and smart spaces on every plan (only after your consent); Plus and Premium add a writing assistant, summaries, translation and AI-generated HTML templates.
• HTML emails on PC and phone, with a real editor and faithful preview.
• Windows + Android, one account: rules, templates, signatures and preferences stay in sync (encrypted).
• PEC: if you're in Italy, certified email with acceptance and delivery receipts matched to each message.
• 6 languages.
Outlook/Hotmail/Microsoft 365 connect with Sign in with Microsoft; Gmail has a guided 1-minute setup with an app password; any IMAP mailbox works.
Free is free forever, not a trial. I'd love your honest feedback: what would make you switch your daily email client? I'll be here all day answering questions. 🧡
