MagPaste
The clipboard your Mac should have shipped with
MagPaste keeps everything you copy (text, links, images, files, colors) in a searchable history. Press Control-Command-V in any app, find a clip, paste. Search inside screenshots, Paste Stack, pins. Encrypted on your Mac: no account, no tracking.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm the solo developer behind MagPaste.
I kept losing things I'd copied: a link from an hour ago, an address, the text in a screenshot. So I built the clipboard manager I wanted: press Control-Command-V in any app, type a word, paste.
A few things I cared about: • Search finds words inside screenshots, read privately on your Mac • Paste Stack: copy several things, paste them in order • Passwords from password managers are never saved; card numbers and login codes delete themselves • Everything stays encrypted on your Mac. No account, no cloud, no tracking • Pay once, use it on up to 5 Macs
It's native Swift, runs on macOS 15 or later, and it's my first Mac app. I'd love your honest feedback: what's missing, what's confusing, what you'd use it for.
Three questions I'd love your take on:
1. What do you copy most often that you wish you could find again?
2. Is Control-Command-V a good shortcut for you, or would you pick another?
3. What would make you switch from your current clipboard app?
I'll be here all day answering every comment.

MagPaste was hunted by Viren Zalavadia. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
